COLOR BURSTING OUT ALLOVER

There are times when I really like my yard and this is why

The weather this year is so different than what we had at this time last year. Here it is one week into May and the temperatures have been like summer and the shrubs and plants in my garden and yard are a lovely sight. Greenery and blossoms everywhere and I have the allergies to prove it.

It looks like the strawberries are starting to get flowers too. This is only one of the raised garden beds where they are planted.
I bought myself a little green house a few months ago so I could get an early start on my garden and with the weather we’ve been having it seems like it isn’t that necessary but the seedlings that I’ve started will survive if the temperatures do drop. Am I the only one that has that kind of luck? I debate about whether or not to do something and when I finally make the decision to do it whatever it is it hardly seems worth the effort.

These buds will probably be open and in full bloom tomorrow. They are some of my favorites.  The color is soft and the blossoms have a lovely shape.

There is still a lot of work to be done to get to the point where I can sit back and enjoy but sometimes the work is the best part. Maybe not so much the physical work but the planning part and the shopping part. Don't you just love shopping for plants and shrubs and new cushions for the patio furniture? I know I do.

On one of the blog sites I visit a dear friend named Mona has posted photos of her fairy garden and after seeing it I've been wanting to plant one too. That's the planning part that I was talking about that is so much fun.

Like I said, the weather is beautiful and I’m heading outside to enjoy it.
Have a great day and as always, thanks for stopping by.

Spring time always make me envious and nasty color of green because of all the lovely colors and blossoms that others have....that live where there is moisture. And your garden gave me a particularly icky green glow.
Wow....look at your strawberries....Sheesh.

I love your Azalea's and I think some might be Rhododendrons. They look wonderful. I can grow Azaleas although it is really too hot here for Rhododendrons. Just have time to sit and enjoy it.
It amazes me that the photos you do of the snow, seems as though nothing will grow. I can't get over how your plants still stay alive with akk that freezing.
Hugs

Dearest Maddy,
Wow, how beautiful your spring flowers are♡♡♡ I am happy to see your flourishing garden and strawberries as well. This year, our Azalea is not blooming well. Maybe, my husband trimmed them too much last year. I vaguely remember you said about allergy; I DO hope it is not annoying you too much.

I hope your coming weekend will be as beautiful as your garden(*^_^*)
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan to my bs in America, xoxo Miyako*

Hi Maddy,
Oh, what a gorgeous yard!
Your blooming bushes and plants are a treat for the eyes.

In Utah we usually have very short Springs, but this year it has truly been a perfect Spring to remember.
Looks like it's the same for you :)

Have a great day,
and have fun planning and shopping for that Fairy garden :)

Hasn't this weather been a lovely change from the past couple of years? My rhodies are also blooming and everything is so green and verdant. Cloudy and cool this morning but perfect for the flower starts I transplanted yesterday. Your flowers are gorgeous, enjoy them fully. We may get some rain this weekend but that will be a good thing. We don't want too extreme a dry spell! A nice slow long rain for a couple of days and then back to sun. That would be good. Your greenhouse will be a good investment over the years.

Your garden is looking so beautiful! I love it! I am sorry for your allergies! To be honest, I have bad allergies too, but I get it on my skin! I break out with rashes! My right hand right now, looks horrible! We are having the same weather, everything is going crazy! I did a fairy garden last year and it is looking excellent! Mine is kind of wild! I will post about it soon ;o) Enjoy the outside ;o) Hugs ;o) I hope your sisters are doing well!

Maddyrose, when someone like you who has such a yard, admires something I do, I am overwhelmed! :)
I am pleased and with your gardening talent..I've a feeling I am going to learn something wonderful from YOUR Fairy Garden!
My new one is on hold now..just too much going on. Perhaps after mothers day. Your flowers are simply amazing! Please do take a front photo of your home so I can get an idea of it all together.
Maybe there is one in your achives..I will have to go on a search! :)

Beautiful. Looks much like my yard. Unfortunately beauty comes with a price. I can't really enjoy it for very long due to allergies, but from a distance, yes it's great. Happy Mother's Day my friend...hope it's a great day! :-)

Oh Maddy Rose, your yard is gorgeous! I share the love of planning and shopping for plants. I also do love the actual work of it. There is something about cleaning out weeds and creating beauty out of chaos that soothes me like nothing else can. And those little finishing touches like mulch, rocks, driftwood, etc., make it come together like magic.

Our weather has been really different as well. We were thrown into spring, fell back to cold temps, had a few days of hot weather, and it has recycled in that same fashion constantly. Next year will probably be different again and you'll get more use out of that green house then. ;-) Happy Mother's Day, sweetie! Mina

Our Spring is also very different from past years. This time we have had cooler weather and lots of rain!!! The roses have LOVED it. I even have a trellis, across our walkway, with climbing roses (Under a Cedar tree) that are blooming with no worry about the little Sunshine they receive. Your garden is so Beautiful!!! All your work is definitely worth it! I bet the bears Love their photos taken by the flowers.

Just Beautiful Maddy! I can almost smell them. I love the curvature of your yard..anything too prim and proper takes away from the natural beauty in my opinion. Thank you for coming to visit me, its always so nice to see you have stopped in! XOXOX Christel
