There is a saying that a baby might have a face that only a mother could love. There may be truth in that one as I've seen some pretty homely babies. They may be beautiful in the eyes of their mother but to the rest of the world it's not so obvious.
I'm going to show you my latest creation and at first I thought she or he would be terribly ugly but then I started getting a warm and fuzzy feeling when looking at this sweet little creature. I'm going to let you be the judge as to whether this is a face only a mother can love.
This is Jocko, a baby troll who has come to live with us. This little one is cutting teeth and is not even a little bit happy. I've tried to stop the crying by letting Jocko play with some of the stuffed animals, but nothing seems to be working.
Minerva tried getting him or her to stop the crying by singing to him or her but had to get Winnie the goose to safety when Jocko tried to chew on her.
It looks like Jocko may be getting interested in the animals. I'm not sure if this is something I want to watch.
It would appear that for the moment at least, the animals, all except for that poor buzzard that Jocko has a strangle hold on are safe.
Now that you've seen Jocko from head to toe I'm going to leave it up to you. Does this little one have a face only a mother could love?
I hope you've enjoyed meeting my newest addition in my all things magickal collection.
As always thanks for stopping by.

I think he wants to be changed!!! Look at that droopy diaper. You're right, he does have a face only a mother could love. Fortunately, I'm a mother!
Where to begin? Well, okay if he is a troll then he is sorta cute. If he were a real baby I wouldn't be leaving a comment. (o:
I think some peanut butter and honey may be what he wants. Of course it could be that diaper thingy too.
I held my breath when I saw Katie with her teddy friends. Thank goodness troll baby has a gentle side. But oh, that poor buzzard.
Can't wait to read more....
Hugs
Always entertaining, reading your posts. I'm no mother. I'll leave it at that;-J
I think Jocko is wonderful. His face kinda looks like a Buddha:)
I love her/him :)
The details you sculpt into your pieces just blows me away...still admiring Jocko's buzzard! Actually Jocko is just what he is, and the fun of it is to admire or not admire. As for now, I am into admiring! Now, I wouldn't be surprised to see another Santa before too long!!!
Oh, I think she or him reminded me of "Daruma".

Yes, hard to define the gender. And I feel the warmth in her or him.

Oh I think Jocko is quite a looker for a troll. He is a riot...I love his saggy baggy diaper. But I would keep an eye on the cutie animals...snacks for trolls don't ya know. Oma Linda
Es un fantastico trabajo, me encanta.

I guess I am one of thoese who thinks that a baby anything is cute, excepting of course spiders! This one is no exception he is adorable especially surrounded by his toys! :-)
Jocko is the first baby troll I have ever seen and looks just as I would expect. What is it with faces like that that make us all want to get maternal and protective?
His baggy diaper and hold on that buzzard cracks me up. I think he is really adorable and if he doesn't stop crying soon, you can send him to my house. I will sit with him for a spell so you can get some rest. ;-)
Haha! He is adorable! Please save the little vulture from him!! :)) You are so funny! xo
I think that he is very sweet for a baby troll...curious how he will look like when he grows up....
Big hugs,Leny
aw, a baby troll - how sweet! i like the droopy diaper! hee!!
Well, ya know, it might be a face only a mother would love, but trolls aren't really meant to be handsome are they ;o) He's fab, I think he might grow up to be Fungus the Bogeyman...
He is a funny troll baby and as his mother I would love him...
Love the story...
Greetings, Diny
