I finished this little Santa yesterday that is the first of four that I’m going to be making of this approximate size. The overall measurement for this jolly fellow is 6 ¾ inches and that is including the ¾ inch thick section of Christmas tree trunk base he is mounted on.
Santa is standing atop a frosty mound of snow.
He's dressed in the customary red suit with white fur trim.
Santa is holding a very small teddy bear.
I started this little fellow back in March of this year but couldn't decide how I wanted to proceed until one day last month when something in the old noggin clicked and there he was. Hopefully the next one won't take as long to complete.
It's starting to feel a lot like winter this past week. It's a good thing too since it really puts me in the mood for the holidays. With gifts and cards to make and get sent out I need to be getting very serious about how I spend my days. Now is also the time for some serious cleaning so the house is ready to decorate.
So, having said that I think I should go work on my granddaughter's gift. I'd tell you what I'm making her but it would be my luck she would pick this time to read my blog and it would spoil the surprise.
Enjoy your day and as always, thanks for stopping by.

Hi Maddy!
Ive been mia and missed blog reading this past week and this Santa is truly a wonderful suprise to see when I get back to my blog buddies.
He is wonderful! I love this tiny Santa, and I really like his tree trunk base he is on.
It snowed here this past weekend which really put me in the Holiday spirit. I agree with you, I have to spend my days wisely too.
I usually dont decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving, but I may just start decorating now :)
have a great day!

We like. Miss Maddyrose, you haven't mentioned anything about Santa, the elves, Reindeer, or North Pole? And is it snowing there?

Awww, he's adorable. How I envy those slim legs! lol
Looking forward to seeing your gift to your granddaughter.
Enjoy the season!!!
I have been expecting, or at least hoping, for Santa to pop up at Santa and the Mrs. And, I surely do love him, skinny legs and all! Glad there are more to come...Is it snowing there?
Hey, love the new "little" Santa. He has a super cute expression on his face. And those skinny little spindle legs remind me of lots of older guys I know....er know of. Have fun with the granddaughter's giftee. I will be starting my sewathon soon. Gotta finish the "clean out the crap" athon first. Should only take another week. We have made excellent progress and it's beginning to feel "cleared" around here. S&S Oma Linda
tell the bearlings I send love.
Hi Maddy! so, tell me, how do you like working smaller? I find it challenging, but you will be amazed at the details you can cram into one tiny tiny piece! Love this first new Santa! He is a bit more whimsical, I think it's his skinny legs..whatever it is it works! I also love the more traditional ones too, don't get me wrong, I guess for gals like many of us..it depends on the mood! Have a great week, love seeing all your new ideas come to life! xoxox Christel
