FRIDAY IS BEARS POST DAY

Here it is Friday again and time for another post from yours truly Bellamine & Wendy. It’s also the Friday before Easter and we were getting so excited that Mom said we are driving her to distraction. We told her that we can’t be driving her anywhere cause none of us can drive. Teehee!!!

Franklin said, “We ain’t  got  nothin’ to do. We’re tired of playing our games and we don’t want to color in our coloring books and we don’t want to watch a movie or read a book.”

Mom said we were getting up too early and that's why we keep running out of things to do so she  told Franklin he should go find Oakley and Bartholomew and play tag or hide and go seek. So, Franklin went and found Bartholomew and Oakley and soon all three of them were complaining about having nothing to do. That’s when Mom brought out a surprise for us.

She told us his name is Woody Flowing Mane.

We took turns petting him and combing his mane and tail and got a pretty blue ribbon and tied it in his mane. When Mom came in to see if we would be wanting breakfast anytime soon and she said, “So, little ones how do you like riding your new rocking horse?”

We hadn’t thought about riding him but he does have a seat so I guess Woody won’t mind if we climb up on his back.

Yippee!!! This is fun! Go faster Woody. Go faster.

"Okay Bartholomew, you had a really long ride let me have a turn."

"Hey Woody, is it okay if I hold on to your mane? I don't want to fall off. Not so fast!"

"Don't hog the horsey Franklin, I want a turn."

"Steady big boy. It's a long way down and I don't have much padding.  Bellamine, do you want a turn? I think I've had enough."

"Woody you're such a good boy. I'm not pulling your hair too hard am I? Wendy, you've got to try this."

"Not now Bellamine. I'm going to go see if Mom has breakfast ready, I'm starved. Then I'm going to finish our post so we can go see what our friends are up to."

As soon as we finish breakfast we'll be back to visit all of our bear friends. We hope you liked seeing our new rocking horse and you'll be back on Sunday so we can tell you how the Easter Egg hunt goes. We're hoping the weather will be nice but Mom said we shouldn't worry cause we can always have it indoors.

Thanks for visiting.

Hugs,
Bellamine & Wendy

LAST BUNNY FOR NOW

I didn't expect to get this last bunny painted so quickly but he's joined the other bunnies on the buffet. Someone said that my bunnies have bedroom eyes. I think that might be a good assessment. This latest bunny not only has bedroom eyes but also a reputation with the ladies. He's not a cad but he does adore the women folk.

This bunny's name is Romeo Rabbit and he's a real charmer.

This is Romeo's first season working at the Easter Egg Factory.

He's young and full of energy and has so much spring in his step he's not trusted to handle real eggs so he's been assigned to work in the jelly bean department. Here he is taking the jelly bean centers to be colored.

Now that I've finished with the bunnies I can concentrate on finishing up a few more projects.

I've started working on two small quilt tops for two little bears to take with them to summer camp. I've been wanting to start a scrap quilt but don't have enough scraps to make one large enough for a bed or throw but with the scraps from some recent sewing projects I might have enough to make two smaller ones. I need to get a blade for my rotary cutter so I can cut some more white squares for the one on the left and more pale pink for the one on the right.  I also need to buy a quilt bat and some fabric for backing.

This week has been a busy one with trying to get projects finished and eggs colored for the Easter egg hunt and I still need to shop for Easter Sunday dinner. I'd love for the weather to be nice for Sunday but the forecast doesn't look promising.

Enjoy your day and as always, thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,
Maddy

ONE MORE BUNNY

I've been busy working on several things at once as usual and getting nowhere fast. I have had my hands in paper mache clay and fabric. I've been making Easter eggs and bunnies and am working on a head or two for some mixed media dolls. I'm also working on a scrap quilt or maybe even two quilts. Hopefully I'll complete some of these projects and if they're not too terrible I'll share them with you.

Last Friday I got a scare. My blog vanished and I had no idea where it went or how to get it back. It wasn't until that happened that I realized how much blogging has become such an important part of my life. I was so frustrated and upset that I had lost it and everything that I've done with it for the past year. I've made such wonderful friends through my blog and there are some of you, you know who you are, who have become like sisters to me. Anyway, I've been nervous since then and every time I log on to my blog I'm afraid I'll discover it's been removed again.  I know it's silly and I don't really think it will keep vanishing but what can I say? I'd be devastated if I lost it for good. Enough said. Now I'm going to show you a bunny that I finished soon after Herman Hare. This one is probably my favorite one so far. I'm calling him Benji Bunny.

Benji has only been working in the coloration department of the Easter Egg Factory North Pole division for the past year. He has worked his way from solid color dying to multi-color applications. He hasn't quite mastered swirls but when it comes to mottled coloring he's quite proud of  his work.

To Benji, working at the factory is a life long dream come true.

I have one more bunny to paint and that will be the end of them for this year. On Easter Sunday I hope to have the final bunny finished and will do a post.

Until then, I'll be keeping busy and will visit as many of your blogs as time allows.

Be well and as always, thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,
Maddy
