STILL MESSING WITH THE HEADS

I've been asked what I plan on doing with the heads I've been making. Well, for one thing, I'm going to paint them.

Today I stopped sculpting and started painting on four of them. It usually takes me a day or two of painting on a piece before I decide I'm happy with it.

These four kept me busy most of the morning. The first on the left, the older gentleman has a friend down stairs on the drying racks. At first I pictured them in my mind sitting at a table in the park playing checkers. Then I decided that I didn't feel like creating something that would require so much display space so I thought about having them out for a walk, maybe with a dog on a leash. It's really anybodies guess what I will end up doing with them.

Some of the heads may end up in a box and stuck up on the shelves above my work area. Some will be made into dolls and some may end up in the trash.

This is my way of journaling, a way to practice my sculpting and painting. Not everything I start gets finished and I know for a fact I'm not the only one who does this.

As always, thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend.

Hugs,
Maddy

I love the older man. I'm glad he has a partner. May be they could be sitting on a bench eating fish and chips. Then you could sculpt seagulls. Just joking!!!!
3 lovely ladies, hmmmm.... the mind is wanting to know who they will be.
Have fun.

Hi Maddy,
Well, I love them all.. such wonderful work. Each lil' face has so much character. Now my fave is the gal on the far right. She has a look on her face as if she has a big seceret to tell.. Her expression draws me in .. :)
I would love to see each one completed, but I can relate that to the fact that some will end in the closet to be finished at a later date :)

Have a wonderful weekend,

~Diane

I loved to read what you explained about your work style, you are the person who has artistic mind and sensitivity.
I think My favorite will be the lady far right. I feel like she has both warmth and mysterious images♡♡♡

Love you always sending big Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Isn't it fun to be able to say things like "Today I'm playing with heads"? I love the old guy on the upper left.

I love these faces and how you give each one (actually everything you create) such a unique personality. Your beautiful work always makes me smile.

This past Easter when I pulled out my decorations and saw your eggposters, I was filled with warmth all over again. They are honestly too adorable! Thank you again for your awesome generosity. Have a wonderful day my friend. Mina
